Jing Ma

As an epidemiologist, Dr. Ma works at Harvard Medical School since 1994. Her research focused on nutritional, genomic, proteomic and metabolomics biomarkers and chronic diseases such as cardiovascular diseases and cancer with over 200 peer review papers. Between 2013-2014, Dr. Ma had served as a Co-PI for a Harvard-China collaborative project “Advancing Awareness and Prevention of Breast Cancer in China”. She led a team of Harvard faculties developed training and education program for the All China Women’s Federation (ACWF) and the National Health Commission (NHC). In 2020, Dr. Ma serve as the PI of the Chinese Women Breast Cancer Early Detection, Early Diagnosis, and Early Treatment (3Es) Project with the support of Chinese Women Development Foundation and Peking Union Medical College. Between 2015-2017, Dr. Ma had organized training programs for leaders of the “Center for Food Safety and Risk Assessment” of China. In 2018, Dr. Ma created the China Program for Health Innovation & transformation at the Department of Population Health, Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute and serves as the founding Director. As the President and Secretary-General of the U.S.-China Health Summit, a U.S.-based nonprofit organization, Dr. Ma has co-organized the annual U.S.-China Health Summit conferences since 2011. Starting from the early outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemics in February, Dr. Ma has been leading the U.S.-China Health Summit “COVID-19 Task Force” with ~100 volunteers from >20 top universities from US, China and Europe, working on research, daily news and the “Global Anti-COVID-19 Seminar Series”.
